Why Are We Still Talking About This?: Anti-LGBT Discrimination

What an awesome post about an issue that shouldn’t even be an issue.

The year is 2014, and this week four states (Idaho, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Kansas) all worked to pass state bills that would allow businesses to discriminate against LGBT people for religious reasons. All four of the bills failed to pass but one in Arizona passed in the senate and it headed to the state congress. Soon we will know the fate of the Arizona bill and let’s hope it does not pass…because the fact that states are wasting time and tax payers’ dollars for this purpose is utterly ridiculous.

Again, the year is 2014 and we have elected officials attempting to further perpetuate hatred for the LGBT citizens they are supposed to represent. That isn’t the only problem with these types of bills though. Read this sentence one more time and tell me if you can spot the issue – The year is 2014, and this week four states…

    I am astounded that so many people harbor so much animosity toward people based on who they want to spend their lives with.

    WHO. CARES?

    Just let people live their damn lives.
